Tibetan Buddhist monasteries and temples are found everywhere in Nepal and Buddhism is widely practicised.
Buddha was born in Shakya which in present day is Lumbini, Nepal.
Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu is the largest stupa in Nepal and the holiest of Tibetan Buddhist temples outside Tibet.
Tengboche Monastery is in Sagarmantha National Park, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a view of the Himalayan Mountains including the most well known peaks of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse and Ama Dablam.
Mani Stones are stone plates rocks and peebles inscribed with the mantra "Om mani padme hum" as a form of prayer in Tibetan Buddhism. Mani Stones are intentionally placed along roadsides, paths and rivers or sometimes along walls as a offering to the spirits.
