RICE TERRACES BALI

I don't want to be most of us."
Oberyn Martell, Game of Thrones

HELLO THERE!
Jatiluwih Rice Terraces are located in the western region of Bali, Indonesia.
Rice terraces are the most striking feature of the magnificent landscape of the region.
Jaltiluwih is a UNESCO world heritage site because it has a unique farm with traditional irrigation system using the concept of Tri Hita Karana philosophy of harmony between man and his neighbour, man and nature, as well as the human and The Creator.
Jatiluwih is part in the area of Subak Landscape of Catur Angga Batukaru which is one of five regions in Bali designated by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site.
Jatiwulih is derived from Jaton and Luwih. "Jaton" meaning amulet and "Luwih" means good, giving the meaning as a village that has amulets which are really good.
