Waymea Canyon

"Because in the end, you won't remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Climb that goddam mountain."

HELLO THERE!

"Waimea Canyon is also known as Grand Canyon of the Pacific located on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. Waimea means "Reddish water", a reference to the erosion of the canyon red soil. The canyon was formed around 4 million years ago carved by rivers and floods that flowed from Mount Waialeale, one of the wettest places on earth.

Waimea canyon is the largest canyon in the Pacific at ten miles long, one mile wide and 3500 ft. deep. A geological wonder comprising massive cliffs with lush green foliage among reddish coloured earths, streams, waterfalls, rivers, crested buttes, rugged crags and deep valley gorges.

Erosion and rainfall are amongst the factors that continue to chisel away at this moutainous  beauty.
