HELLO THERE!

"Sol de la manana" is a geothermal field in the Southwest altiplano in potosi, Bolivia.

It is an area characterised by intense volcanic activity and are sulphur spring fields and not geysers as they are sometimes called, It is full of mud lakes and steam pools with boiling mud.

This is the highest geothermal field in the world, extending over 10 km2 with altitudes between 4800 and 5000 m above the sea level and with its fumaroles and pools emitting vapours mixed with water and steam reaching up to 50ms due to the high pressure.

It is an surreal location that takes one back to the times of formation of the earth. this spectacular landscape is unique to Bolivia.
