BRYCE CANYON
"I need solitude. I have come forth to this hill...to see the forms of thE mountains on the horizon - to behold and commune with something grander than man."
Henry David Thoreau, 1854.

HELLO THERE!
Bryce Canyon is located in Utah in the United States. It features a collection of giant natural amphitheaters along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. It is distinctive due to geological structures called "Hoodos", formed by frost weathering and stream erosion of the river and lake bed sedimentary rocks. The red, orange, and white colours of the rocks provide spetacular views.
The colourful Claron formation, from which hoodos are carved, was laid down as sediments in a system of cool streams and lakes that existed from 63 to 40 million years ago.
