Big Ben (or, more accurately The Elizabeth Tower) is the most recognised british icon representing the most prominent symbol of the united Kingdom and british punctuality. It was built in 1859.
Big Ben is the nickname for the great bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster, and is often extended to the clock tower.
